Bijelo Polje, Children’s Department

Studio Aspeqt was involved in the architectural planning and execution of the renovation of the pediatric department at the Bijelo Polje hospital. This humanitarian project was funded by the Montenegrin organizations HEMIIAS and Hilal, with the aim of significantly improving medical care for the youngest patients.
Spanning an area of about 950 m², the newly renovated department includes a day hospital and intensive care units, patient rooms, a separate laundry room, a playroom, a salt therapy room, suites, and specialized rooms for children with developmental disabilities. This makes it one of the most modern and best-equipped pediatric departments in Montenegro and the region.
With a donation of around €400,000, our studio carefully optimized the architectural design to fit the available budget, ensuring a functional, modern, and welcoming environment for patients. The renovated spaces will significantly enhance the quality of healthcare, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of young patients and their families.
